2. Data We Process

Depending on how you use Universed, we may process the following data provided by Discord:

• Discord user IDs and usernames
• Server IDs and server names
• Channel IDs and channel names
• Role IDs and, where necessary, role names
• Message content required for the Bot's features (e.g. commands sent to the Bot, configuration messages)
• Usage data (e.g. which commands are used, timestamps of usage)
• Gameplay-related data for Universed (e.g. progress, stats, in-bot currency, cooldowns) linked to your Discord user ID

The Bot does not process passwords, payment information, or similar highly sensitive data.

3. Purpose of Processing

We use the data listed above solely in order to:

• provide the core features of Universed (e.g. grind systems, stats, inventories, progression),
• store and manage your in-bot progress and settings,
• check permissions (for example, to make sure only users with certain roles can run admin commands),
• ensure stability and security (e.g. debugging, abuse detection, rate limiting),
• improve Universed (for example by analyzing usage patterns in an aggregated/anonymous way).

We do not use the data for advertising profiles or for selling user data.

4. Legal Basis (where applicable)

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we process personal data based on:

• performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (providing the Universed features), and/or
• our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving Universed, provided that these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

5. Storage and Deletion

We keep data only as long as necessary to provide Universed's functionality, for example to maintain your account, stats, and progression.

Log files and technical data may be retained for a reasonable period to analyze errors and prevent abuse (for example, to detect spam or exploitation).

We will delete personal data linked to a specific user, such as gameplay data tied to your Discord ID, if requested and if this is technically feasible. We will also delete this data if there are no legal obligations or overriding legitimate interests requiring longer storage.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share data with third parties except where this is technically required to operate Universed (for example, hosting providers or infrastructure services) or where we are legally obliged to do so.

We do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.

7. Your Rights

Where applicable under data protection law (such as the GDPR), you may have the following rights:

• right of access to your personal data,
• right to rectification of inaccurate data,
• right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") where legal requirements are met,
• right to restriction of processing,
• right to object to certain processing activities,
• right to data portability.

8. Use of Discord

Universed uses Discord's platform and interfaces ("APIs"). When using Universed, you also agree to Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available at discord.com/terms and discord.com/privacy.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if Universed's functionality or legal requirements change. The most current version will always be available at this URL.
